Dynamic Provider Number Merge Field
We have added in a new Location specific Provider number for Practitioners so that if a Practitioner uses a different Provider number over different locations this can now be utilised. You can find this new field under Locations within the Practitioner record
In addition to this, we have added new Merge fields within the Invoice Document creation. These can be found under the Practitioner header within the Template editor
The Location Code will use the new Location Provider number that we spoke about above
Group Code uses the Group specific Provider numbers that are entered in from the Provider Number section of the Practitioner Record
Practitioner Code uses the Code field from within the Practitioners record
The final Merge field, Provider No, is our Dynamic Provider number and works as follows: If the Practitioner on the invoice you are creating this Letter/Email from has a Location Code the Merge field will use this, if they do not have a Location Code the Merge field will use the Group Code, if the Practitioner does not have either a Location or Group code then the Merge field will use the Practitioner Code.
This Dynamic field can also be added to the Billing Item table within in invoice templates so that if you have an invoice with multiple practitioners that each billing item will display the provider number for the practitioner associated with it.
