Troubleshooting Video Appointments

Allowing Camera permissions within Google Chrome
 (Windows and MacOS)
 

The following article should explain how to set sufficient permissions to allow TM3’s Video Consultations to work with your machines built in Camera and Microphone  


1. Within Google Chrome, Access the settings Menu, Through the 3 dots in the top right hand corner and select “Settings”



2. Type “Permissions” into the top search bar and Select “Site Settings”
  
 3. Ensure both Camera and Microphone are set to the status “Ask before Accessing”
 
 Click into Camera and Microphone and ensure your TM3 page is not entered against the Blocked Section

Allowing Camera and Microphone permissions through Windows 10 Group Policy editor for Video Consultations (Windows 10 Only)
 
 
When attempting to initiate a video consultation, You may encounter an error windows mentioning insufficient permissions or the inability to access the camera, The following steps will allow you to set default permissions for apps which otherwise would not have sufficient permissions to access your computers Camera.
 
 If you do not have access to any of the following options, Please contact your system administrator.
 
 
1. Press Windows Key + R then type gpedit.msc and hit Enter to open Group Policy Editor.

2.Navigate to the following path by clicking through the folders on the left hand side:

Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > App Privacy


3.Select App Privacy then in the right window pane double-click on “Let Windows apps access the camera” policy
 You will also need to repeat steps 3 – 5 for the option 
 “Let Windows apps access the Microphone


4.Within this screen change the setting from “Not Configured” to “Enabled


5. Now under Options from the “Default for all apps” dropdown select the following option:
 Force Allow; Apps will be allowed to access the camera by default.
 

6.Click Apply followed by OK to save changes.
 
 You should now test Video consultations after restarting your Browser and should no longer be getting any errors.
