Setting up Diagnosis Codes for Healthcode

Setting up Diagnosis Codes for Healthcode in TM3 Web

Diagnosis codes need to be mapped to the different diagnosis in TM3 Web Clinical Notes.  They can be mapped via the Settings area of TM3 web and this article will take you through the processes:

Creating your own Diagnosis Code list

To create your own custom Diagnosis Code list in TM3 Web click the Settings Cog Wheel > Clinical > Clinical Lists > Insert the name for your custom list > Click Add.

There are a few ways you can create a Diagnosis Code list and this is at the discretion of your clinic.  The different methods of adding a custom list are - One list to cover all body sites, a body site specific list and a custom list for your clinic (the last stage of the list must always be mapped to the Healthcode diagnosis list).

After you have added the custom list you can start adding to it by inserting a new value in the New Item box and then Add.

One Diagnosis List for all Body Sites

For Healthcode most diagnosis will fall into a certain amount of categories, the categories and codes can be found at the bottom of this article.  To set up one list to cover all body sites you can copy the list from the bottom of the article and then map the appropriate codes to them.  This list will only include one stage and will not have any sub lists.  Once you have followed the instructions to map the codes your list may look like the below image.

Body Site Specific Diagnosis Codes

A body site specific list will benefit your clinic as you won't have to search a large list to find your diagnosis.  With a body site specific list you assign the appropriate diagnosis to the correct body site; so that when you choose ankle, only ankle diagnoses will appear.  To do this in TM3 Web create the list as normal but add all body sites your clinic will cover in the first stage of the list.  When you have all your body sites added, you should Add Sub-Lists to them by clicking the button beside each list highlighted below.

Once your Sub-List has been added you can then add the appropriate diagnosis codes for this.  In the example below I have added a few that relate to an Abdomen injury.  When mapping the codes these will need to be done in the Sub-List stage.

A Custom List for your Clinic

A custom list will make TM3 Web clinical notes more specific for your clinic.  With a custom list it is always better to do this body site specific; quite like the section above but at the final stage of the list it will be a more specific diagnosis to your clinic.

Essentially the only difference between the Body Site Specific List and Custom List will be the last stage of the sub-list which will contain diagnosis codes that are specific to your clinic.

Mapping Diagnosis Codes to this list

Once you add the list locate it in the Clinic Lists section.  From here click the icon on the list with a + sign on it; click on the Healthcode text that appears to map this list to Healthcode.

Once this list has been mapped you will see a Healthcode Mappings notification beside the list.

Using your Custom Diagnosis Code list with TM3 Web

As default TM3 Web will be using a different Diagnosis Code list to the custom one we have created.  We need to tell TM3 Web to start using our list.  To do this go to Settings > Clinical > Case Settings > Current diagnosis code list > Clinical Lists > Locate your custom diagnosis list and select it.

When you perform the above actions your list will change and you will now be using the new Diagnosis Code list.

Note: If you have created any templates that have the old diagnosis code lists linked to it, this will still be the case.  You may need to clone the templates and assign your new list to this area.
