Case Settings

The first section within the clinical set up is Case settings which you can see in the image below.  Here you can configure your current case settings and set up special diagnosis codes.

Below each setting their is a brief description of what each one does.

This section contains five different settings which can be turned on or off by a slider and these are listed below.  When it is swiped right the slider turns green which represents the option is on.  If the slider is grey and to the left, this represents the option is turned off.

1. Every consultation needs an appointment - This option will force all consultations in a case record to be linked to an appointment.  Users will be unable to add a consultation without an appointment.

As this option is turned on in settings, when I try to add a consultation from within a case, a list of appointments appear that I am able to link the consultation to otherwise I should choose 'Go to Diary to book an Appointment.'  This is shown in the image below.

2. Treatment authorisations can be edited/created from Clinical Records - This will allow all users who have access to administer treatment authorisations.

Within a case it has a treatment authorisation section on the top banner (This is shown in the image below).  It displays if there are any treatment authorisation codes belonging to that client and you are able to add or edit these.

3. Show cases with incomplete notes on home screen - This will show a red bar with the number of incomplete notes there are.  Clicking on the red bar will expand this section into the home screen with all the incomplete notes.

The image below shows that 8 cases require attention.

When I click on the arrow it expands to show the cases and some information about them.  You can also go to the case by clicking 'View.'  This is shown in the image below.

This will only appear when the user who is logged in has a practitioner linked to their user record.

4. Include data when adding a recently used modality from the current case - This means when using a recent modality from the current case the data attached to the modality will be added as well.

5. Include data when adding a recently used assessment from the current case - This means when using a recent modality from the current case the data attached to the modality will be added as well.

If this option is turned on and you have completed an assessment and you add the same assessment in another consultation then it will pull through the information that you set the first time you added the assessment.

As well as these five slider options we have a further three different options which are set up by choosing the setting from a list.

1. Current diagnosis code list - This will be the list displayed when choosing a diagnosis code:

When you click on current diagnosis code list it brings up the screen below where you can choose your option from the lookups list or the custom lists.  For my example I choose Diagnosis Codes.

This then appears beside Current Diagnosis code list within case settings.

Now that I have this setting in place, within my case under diagnosis codes a list of Diagnosis Codes are the options to choose from.

2. Cases that have been discharged will auto-lock - There are five options that you can choose from and these are shown in the image below.

  • Never
  • At Midnight of the Day
  • At Midnight of the Next Day
  • 24 Hours Later
  • 48 Hours Later

3. Consultation and images will auto-lock - Again, there are five options you can choose from and these are the same as the previous setting.

  • Never
  • At Midnight of the Day
  • At Midnight of the Next Day
  • 24 Hours Later
  • 48 Hours Later
